How we teach the bible
We believe that God speaks to us as the Bible is faithfully preached. At River, our preaching is:
From the Bible – Ordinarily we will preach through books of the Bible, teaching on one chapter or section per sermon.
Christ-Centered – Since the Bible is a book about God’s plan to save the world through Jesus, each sermon will show how the Bible passage rightly points us to Jesus.
For Everyday Life – The Bible’s testimony to Jesus is intended to dramatically change us; therefore, sermons will seek to give practical instruction for how God wants us to live and how God helps us live in ways that glorify him.
